According to what I have read regarding Carnie, is that she had gained some of her weight back. Carnie, not only underwent Laproscopic RNY but she also had a revision to continue to lose when her weightloss slowed. She has also had close to $50,000 worth of plastic surgery (maybe more).

http://www.chez.com/affection/actual/juin02d.htm this is a recent article about Carnie, her surgery, and her $20,000 plastic surgery. You may also read a January 04' journal entry about how she is doing on her official website. Carnie is my inspiration and her two books are really helpful to read as well. Hope this helps!

There was a post on Spotlight Health yesterday from someone who met Carnie at a WLS function in Minnesota. Carnie gave a talk there yesterday and said that she has put on about 12 pounds...JR

I saw Carnie Wilson yesterday. She was the keynote speaker at a WLS Educational Conference in Hinckley, MN. She looks FABULOUS. She has gained back, after 5 years according to her own admission, about 12 pounds. I have a photo with her and I'd guess she is about 5'3". She said she weighs 16o. My own surgeon said a rebound of about 10 pounds is pretty normal and to almost be expected. She was very interesting and so personable. She had the audience spell-bound for almost an hour, including a lengthy question and answer period. I waited almost 2 hours and everyone attending that wanted to, had a chance to speak with her, get her autograph, and even have photos taken with her! She was VERY free with her hugs, smiles and compliments. She appears as a real genuine, down to earth and lovely from the inside out person. Now, next time I hear others say she had gained all her weight back, I can say that as of April 24, 2004 she hadn't. Shadow 295/170/150

Albeit, Carnie appears to have regained SOME weight, in the range of 10-20 pounds, but isn't that expected for any WLS person? I am 3 years out, and about 12 pounds above my all time low. If the pouch is expected to stretch over a year or so, wouldn't it make a tiny bit of sense if you can eat slightly more, you'll weigh slightly more? Of course The Star puts the most unflattering photo imaginable of Carnie. I think she looks good. A couple to lose...yes...morbidly obese..hardly! People are jealous.
