Question:
Has anyone tried reliv suppliments? if so what did you think of them?
A lady sellindg vitmins and nutritional suppliment told about this product called reliv , it is a multi vitamin in powder form, it also has about 7 grams of protien, but i was wondering if any one has tried it? also i met a ladie who had a r&y done about 3 years ago, and she was telling me her dr. left her pouch at 6 oz. and she said it had a less chanse of weight regain compaired to the 2cc pouch?i thought this was strange, i do know she had alot if intestine bypassed , and this has got me worried , i am having surgery soon and i am having the micro pouch r&y with about 100cm. of intestin bypassed, but hearing her say i smaller pouch would couse you to graze becous you would never be full, i am now conserned, i would like to hear from anyone on this , thank you — sandra M. Hi. One place to check to see if Reliv is adequate would be here:
http://www.quackwatch.com/ and also other searches on the web or even the
WLS Library. I don't understand the point about the smaller pouch &
never being full. From what I've read, the pouch does become full and if
overfilled the consequences aren't pleasant. I'd hazard a guess that if
you have "head hunger" you could eat all day long but I suspect
that each time you ate the pouch would fill and you'd feel full for awhile.
My understanding of all WLS surgery is that it is a tool used to solve the
problems of obesity and the co-morbidities that go along with it. If there
are other problems like body image, sense of self-worth, relationships that
could ruin the positive effects of the surgery, then IMHO it would be wise
to see someone in the mental health field that can act as a guide even
before having the surgery. Hope this helps.
