Question:
Everytime I eat anything no matter what it is my heart starts fluttering.

It reminds me of relux , which I had badly before my surgery. I have been drinking diet soda lately and that may be the cause. I also have had a small piece of steak saturday which may also be the cause. I am worried somewhat. I called my doctor who called me in some relux meds, I get them today.I see him next week and will get to talk to him in more detail about it. What do you all think? Should I be worried. I am burping more when I drink water , which seems to help the fluttering feeling. I dont know it feels just like the relux I had before, ehhhhhh!    — neneburge (posted on October 14, 2003)

I know when I eat a lot of carbs my heart flutters. Also it does it when I have some (Splenda doesnt do it) artifical sweetners, Try cutting both of those out and see if it stops. Good luck. ~Sidney~ Open RNY 10-23-02 down 120+ and counting

Just my 2 cents but it might be the caffeine in the soda doing it...I know I used to drink diet soda all the time before I had my surgery too....but I took one sip a few weeks after and I thought I was gonna die....anyway...just a thought.
