Question:
WLS friendly psych in Kansas City area
Does anyone know of a WLS friendly psych in the Kansas City area? I know that my ins. requires one so I want to get it done with before they even ask me for it. Thanks! — Misty C. (posted on June 25, 2003)

And stay away from Judith Martin, she finally wrote mine but was very clear
that she didn't approve. You might try calling your surgeons office and
asking for recommendations. That's how I got my PCP. Good Luck

I used Dorothy Smith in Liberty. She was good, got me in within 24 hours
of the call and I had my report about a week later. I called New
Directions which handle all our mental health issues thru work and they
gave me a recommendation for about 3 others.

Thanks guys! I had a friend that went to Dorothy and I met her and I really
liked her. I think that I will give her a call and talk with her. Thank you
so much for telling me that she approves of surgery. I didn't know where to
even look. I'm in the process of moving so I will have to make time to give
her a call. Again thank you so much!:)
