Question:
What kind of juice is low in Sugar?

Every juice that I look at is so high in sugar yet i hear there are some that aren't as bad. What do you recommend? Do people dilute it?    — Jennifer L. (posted on September 8, 2001)

Diet V8 Splash has 3 varieties: Kiwi Strawberry, Berry Blend and some citrusy flavor. It is sweetened with Splenda. Very tasty. I use the Citrus Blend as my orange juice in the morning. Good luck!

My surgeon told us that we could have anything that was 100% juice. Juicy Juice is what I usually use. I have heard that some people still dump on regular juice...so you may want to ask your surgeon about it. I haven't had any trouble...but I haven't dumped at all...so it may not be an issue for me. Good Luck:)

Low-suger V-8 splash is the best I have found. I like the berry blend. Be sure it is the Low sugar! Most fruit juices are more sugar than juice.

This may not sound pleasant, but you will have to try different juices to find what's right for you. I always look for unsweetned, no sugar added juices. These juices have sugar in them but all of it is natural. I can only drink Dairy Fresh orange juice and Wal-Mart brand apple juice. When trying a new brand, I only take a sip, for I can tell almost instantly if it will agree with me.

I was given Apple Juice, Orange Juice, and V-8 Splash in the hospital. None of it was cut with water and I did fine. Those are the juices I drink now and I have had no problems with them.

I'm RNY, and I've never had problems with the natural sugars present in fruit and fruit juices. However, just check the label and make sure there are no ADDED sugars or syrups.

Two things you might try at Diet V-8 splash and Ocean Spray's light cranberry drinks. They're juice cocktails, blended with NutraSweet (or is it Splenda?) instead of sugar.
