Question:
How much weight should be lost before having our C-Pap machine adjusted?

Before wls, I weighed 380-383 and my C-Pap setting is at 15. I now weigh 286 and was just curious if I should ask if the flow should be adjusted. I'm not having any problems with it, just curious.    — Janice K. (posted on July 24, 2000)

It doesn't go by weight or time, but how you feel. After I'd lost about 100 (of the 150 I was to lose) I had to have my 15 recalibrated to 7.5. That scared me, so I swtiched to my husband's 10. No, not right, back to my 7.5. Then he had surgery and his was cut to 5. So, I ended on his 5, with it under my pillow, on, all night. I was REALLY mentally dependent on it. But the sign for us to move down was really when the air started blowing our mouths OPEN at night and we woke each other up! You'll know, as it'll start waking you up more than helping you sleep!
