Question:
Anyone out there know if Abilify is weight neutral?

I had to stop taking Lamictal because of the apetite increase I received from taking the drug. Does anyone have any experience with the drug Abilify? I was told by Pdoc that it is weight neutral...now just a little worried since Lamictal was so rough with the cravings. Thanks for all help.    — Karen Renee (posted on May 19, 2004)

I take Lamictal and it hasn't had any affect on my weight. In fact, I think it has helped me. There are many others I have refused to take because of that gaining weight fear. I took Abilify for about 2 months and it did not affect my weight at all either. Good luck!

I teach students who take abilify. It has not affected their weight at all as some of the other medications they have been on had done. Of course, they are not post-ops, though, but long term medication users. Good luck!

Hi there. Abilify is weight neutral. My pshychiatrist told me it would not cause weight gain.
