Question:
2 weeks post op........ what is this pain in my..........

I have this pain in my chest that moves in my throat. It feels like a lump at the back of my throat. It used to come and go now it stays there. I have been taking nexium and now I am taking reglan. My doctor keeps saying it is acid reflux.    — deshun B. (posted on December 18, 2003)

I used to get a lump in my throat early post op when I ate too fast or too much at one time. Taking a short walk helped things move around for me making the pain go away. My friend continues to have acid reflux post-op and is on nexium for it. I thought acid reflux would resolve post-op but I guess not in all cases. Try slowing down while eatting and see if that helps. If not maybe it is just reflux. Good luck!
