Question:
Breast Size?

Okay ladies, I have a question. I am smaller on the upper portion of my body. Currently by bra size is 42B, but sometimes I can fit into an A. After I have surgery and start to loose weight am I going to end up back in a training bra? :-) Anyone that might have been about those measurements let me know how things are after surgery. Thanks.    — Mini Gadget (posted on October 2, 2003)

All I have to say is .... What Breasts! The bra makes all the difference fortunately. Go buy good push up type bras they really do work a miracle. I never used one before my poor boobs went away. Now I have one in every color. Good luck it's truly a small price to pay.

Hi! I was a 46D and now I'm a 38D. Hoping to have breast lift, waiting to hear from insurance. I have my health back! That was my major concern. Large breast is just a lot of fat mass, anyway. lol Lap RNY .... 2/11/03 250/150/140 5'4"/53 years young! Good Luck!

I wasn't your measurements but I did lose it up top for sure. For a while I didn't think I would lose bra sizes, then over a 6 week period I dropped several bra sizes. Started at 48DD now a 42D and shrinking.... Soon I will be a 38C.

I have no BOOBS anymore and I love it! Before surgery I was a 42D and now I'm a 34C and loving life. They are uneven, but I can deal with that. My breast were the first thing to go. And, I have lost inches almost every month in my breast. I had a breast reduction about 10 years ago (46DDD). At that time they took out over 7 pounds of breast tissue. I'm 11 months out and still losing. I'm thinking that they will end-up at a 32B. After having LARGE and I do mean large breast all my life - this is ok by me. Kimberley 11/06/02 RNY 256/164/145

My husband was very supportive of my surgery, but as a joke he said "As long as you don't loose your boobs!" Well, I did. Not completely, but probably half of the total size is gone. I don't think I'll get any smaller, but definitely will have to buy a B instead of C or D next time.

I was also a 42B and now I am a 36A. Yep they have shrank but there are so many cute bras now! And I tried the push up ones but hated the "fakeness" of them. Sure they look good woth clothes but hey we are what we are why add fluff? And after loosing 105lbs they are still in proporion to me. Wendy

I started out at about a B-C, but now I'm at a solid A. Of course, it doesn't help when you're a guy! Sure wish insurance covered that! Just adding some humor, although it's all true!

Well ladies, I must be the freak of WLS. I have lost 98 pounds from the day of surgery, and my bra size went from a 40D to a 38D. So many have lost back and cup sizes, but not me. I still have plenty to roll up and stuff in my bra. LOL !!! I am hoping that when I end up having reconstructive surgery and have mine lifted back into place, I may go down a little further. This same thing happened when I lost a large amount of weight 15 years ago. I never left a D cup. I do, however, hang way down and am pretty flat when braless.

LOL... Robbie that was so funny! Ok, I'm 4.5 months out, down 94 lbs to 197 and still wear a 40D I wore a 44DD pre-op. I was hoping to lose some of my boobs, and so far I have, but not enough to suit me. Hopefully before it's over I will be down into a comfortable C cup. I'm tired of having bra indentations on my shoulders. Most of my guy friends object to this and hope they will not get any smaller... lol. I say thanks for the compliments (I think) but they've got to go!

I went from a 54H to a 36B/C cup (dropped 212 lbs in 18 months). I tease people when they ask about this and say I went from a 54 H to a 36 Long! LOL! Boy, they sure got droopy!! Like some other posters said, get a good push up bra and hope for the best. It really is a small price to pay for the wonderful, healthy body you will have!! Also, it really depends on your genetic make-up, too. I carried a ton of fat in my breasts, and some women don't. Look at your mom or if you take after your dad, your dad's mom to see what you might be like at the proper weight! That will help you more than anything. Hugs!

Before surgery I was a 46C (small C)....after being within 5 lbs. of my own personal goal, I was a 36A (VERY small A)....I'm now stable at a 36C or, if it's padded, a 36D.....LOL....thanks to my recent breast implants! Good luck to you!
