Question:
hOW LONG IS AVERAGE FOR LAP DSERS TO RETURN TO WORK??

I had a lap ds in Sept. 01, and am doing great!!! Down 108 pounds and feeling super. My DH is now considering the same surgery because we'd like to be healthy together. His job is very demanding and he can't afford to take much time off.I wasn't working when I had my surgery, so it's hard for me to judge how soon he may be able to rtw. Well some will think of me as crazy. My surgery was the 12th of April and I'm working half days. I'm in accounting and just sit. I do get very tired and I have to remeber not to push myself.

I'm not a Lap DS'er but I am a Lap RNY'er. I had my surgery on 2/11/02 and returned to work 3/4/02. I was in the hospital for the first 6 days. When I did return to work it was full days and I haven't looked back since. I really felt great at the 3 week point. I probably could have gone back after 2 weeks, but I think I would have been tired. Hope this helps!

I feel like such a wimp now...LOL...it took me 6 weeks to go back to work, and I do have a desk job...I was just so tired and depressed all the time. Good Luck to your husband.
