Question:
Still vomiting after 4.5 months

I am 4.5 months post op and I still can't keep anything down. My Gastro Dr said I had muscle spasms so he gave me Botox injections. I had 2 endoscopies and nothing was found except the spasms. When does this stage end Or what can I do to stop the vomiting??    — tampagirl (posted on July 20, 2003)

Hi, Joann, I had the same problem there for a while and had an endoscope done to adn the doctor said that I had developed gerd which is acid build up in my throat which was causing me to throw up alot, so he put me on nexium and now it has gotten better, so you might want to talk with your doc again and see what else they can do! I'm 10 months post-op and I still throw up, too. It's my own fault - I eat too fast. Still haven't learned to slow down!

Hi, I am 11 1/2 months post op and still throw up but I think that it's mostly my fault--eating too fast, too much, etc. However I do throw up on foods that do not agree with my pouch. I can feel it coming on when eating certain foods and know I have to stop right then or I will throw up. Peaches make me do this. I can only eat like half of a peach. Very strange.
