Please call your surgeons office and ask his/her protocol on this matter.. Most surgeons want all blood thinning medication stopped two weeks prior to surgery as well as caffeine (tea, coffee, chocolate) and if you smoke STOP smoking... If you're taking herbal medication you need to inform your surgeon of those also..

If I'm not mistaken, procardia is a blood pressure/heart med. You CANNOT take time release meds right after surgery. It is very dangerous because when the medication is crushed it is released into your system all at once. You must talk to your primary doc or surgeon about getting the medication in non-time released formula.

18 days is plenty of time. Stop taking the aspirin. My surgeon said to also stop Vitamin E two weeks before surgery...and start taking vitamin C two weeks before. Good luck
