Sounds like a hernia to me. My husband had surgery last year and finally a month ago got his hernia repaired. His did not really hurt either, but like you, when he strained or coughed, it really stuck out. His was about the size of a canteloupe.

Yes, sounds like a hernia to me too. One good thing about it however, is it may help to have your insurance pay for a tummy tuck too. As long as you have documentation about a rash. ( usually takes not bathing for a couple days to achieve that you know) Anyway, good luck, hernias suck but everything usually has a bright side if you look hard enough. Marilayne

I also have a bulge. Mine actually happened just before surgery. I told my Dr. about it before surgery and he said it was probably just a weakening of the abdominal wall but he would check it out during surgery. No hernia at surgery. I talked to him again 2 weeks ago about it because it seems to be getting bigger. He again said he thought it was not a hernia. He did say that it should go down as I lose weight. You should get it checked out though. Good luck - Andrea
