My top weight at 5'7" was 277 and I had surgery at 266. I have horrible loose hanging skin on mu stomch and thighs that will require surgery. I have also had two babies that pretty much trashed the belly area so I am not sure which is to blame but the weight couldn't have helped. I was very surprised that my thighs are as bad as they are as I have always had pretty good gams.

I was at goal at 10 months. I was a lightweight (248 pounds). I had 5 pounds of skin removed during my abdominoplasty. I also had approximately a can of pop removed from each of my upper arms during liposuction. I had the excess skin removed from my upper arms after that. I would say they removed about a 1/2 pound of skin from each arm. I KNOW I have about a pound of skin on each upper thigh but you pick and choose your battles and I can't afford to have that removed right now. I also want to point out that I was 38 when I had surgery and I worked out a lot right after surgery.

I'm 5'7 and also 37. My top weight was 264, and I am at goal. I do not have a lot of hanging skin. I am scheduled for an abdominoplasty in December, but honestly I don't look any worse then many 37 year old woman with 3 kids!

I'm 5'7 and started at 260. I'm down to 168 (-92 lbs) in 6 months and YES, I have skin that hangs terribly but then again, I'm 52. Age may contribute to so much loose skin but elasticity also is a big factor. I had major stretch marks from two children so I went into the surgery knowing I wouldn't shrink back up from previous experience. You're young so you may be able to get away without plastics. This summer, people walking toward me would actually stare at the redundant skin on my thighs when I wore shorts. Made me wish I was 'invisible' again as I seemed to be when I was fat and nobody noticed. :-) Hugs and luck to you.

I am 46, and am 8 months post op. I started at 5'7" at 248 the day of surgery, but 255 at my consult. I am now 149.5, and the charts ay that 147 should be my goal. I have quite a bit of skin to deal with. My face and neck are ok, but my breasts are deflated and hang. The areas that I most want to fx up are my stomach, and actually the armpit area. I have a lot of skin that hangs over my bra on the sides and I have to be careful when buying summer shirts. My arms are ok, but could be better. My thighs are also livable in clothes, but I wouldn't wear short shorts, and my swimsuits have to have a little skirt to cover the upper thighs. I am going for a PS consult this winter and will hopefully do the abdominoplasty next summer. Good luck!
