Question:
Are there any doctors in Austin Texas that do this surgery? What about support groups?

Are there any Angels or Support groups in Austin. I have to go to Houston for the surgery in 5 weeks and I would love to have someone that has been though this to give me some moral support. Thank You.    — Wendy G. (posted on February 14, 2002)

There are not any doctor's in Austin that does this surgery. I live in Austin and had my surgery in Dallas, TX (Dr. Horrilleno) Other places close to Austin that do the surgery include San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas. E-mail me if you have any questions. [email protected]

I have done a lot of research and have not found any doctors in Austin who do this surgery. I am having surgery in Dallas (actually Wylie) on March 19th. I haven't gone to the group yet, but there is a support group in Pflugerville.

Wendy...I am from San Antonio and we have a very good local support group here. We have an online group through yahoo groups and we email each other literally all day long as well as plan get togethers.
