Question:
Down 45 lbs ONLY, 11 wks post op

Is this still okay? I know it's not a quickly as others but should it be more of a loss -- or is this okay? I know we're not supposed to compare. But tell me I'm doing alright, please.    — Annie H. (posted on January 21, 2002)

Hi Annie, I am 10 1/2 weeks post-op and also down 45 lbs. I am thrilled to have lost this much already. I feel super. I started at 245, bmi 41. Considered a lightweight. So I am supposed to be a slow loser. Is this considered slow? Don't know, just happy with the results.

You are doing great! You will have many many many times when you think you aren't losing as you should, but you are doing fine. Been there and done that many times during this past year. I am just past my 1st year anniversary and have lost 145 lbs. HANG IN THERE!

I am a slow loser too. Dont worry, at 9 months now I have lost 112 lbs. and still losing. Some of us just take a little longer than others. But it does work. I was so discouraged at first because it seemed to be taking so long, but it is still going.........not much each month, but still going. And I am almost at my goal. It does work. Hang in there.
