Question:
Has anyone tried Muscle Milk protein shakes?

I recently tried Muscle Milk protein powder after finding it at my local GNC. Has anyone else tried this type? I found the taste very good but am wondering how it rates as a protein drink. — Cindy M. (posted on February 25, 2004)

I think Muscle milk is okay- but I can only stand one scoop at a time. I drink it hot and I skim off the stuff that floats to the top.

I'm sorry, but it looks like it's high in calories, fats and carbs. For the two scoops, it has 350 cal, 18 g fat, and 12 g carbs. To top it off, I'm not sure if it's whey protein or not - the lable says it is trying to approximate human mother's milk. We breastfeed our babies hoping they will GAIN weight. It just doesn't look like this would be the best protein drink considering that for the two scoops you also get 32 g protein (which is a good amount), but to get the 60-90 g of protein we need a day you would have to have 2 or 3 of these shakes a day. Multiply those cal, fat and carb numbers up above by 2 or 3 and I would say that is way too many for protein shakes.
You can look at a nutrition lable here:
http://www11.netrition.com/cytosport_muscle_milk_page.html
