Will BCBS of MI will pay for a lower body lift?

I have BCBS PPO MI and I have a consultation with a PS on June 26 and I could let you know after I try to get approved or even ask the PS if he knows anyone. Good luck!

Hi Kathleen~I'm not sure if BCBS will pay for a lower body lift or not, when you find out, please let me know. I'm preparing early...Wanna have all my "ducks in a row"...LOL If you go to http://www.google.com or any other search engine, just put in something like "Plastic Surgeons in Michigan". I just had a consult with a PS in Troy 2 weeks ago. He said that I need a tummy tuck along with a belt lipectomy (basically the entire way around me). He said that they typically will cover the tt, but not the other. I have BCBS Community Blue PPO for insurance. We have submitted for approval for both, and are hoping for them to approve it. If they do, I will be going for a thigh consult after the other work is done, and will submit for approval on that as well. My PS (who I was very impressed with) said he doesn't want to do it all at once since I will be having 2 incisional hernias repaired at the same time. He doesn't want to keep me under for any longer than 10 hours, which is what he expects the entire surgery to take. Feel free to email me with any questions, or if you find additional information!
