Question:
Has anyone else had nausea/queasy feeling with any intake?

Specifically, I want to know if anyone else has ever had orcurrently have this feeling of nearly nausea or may I say just a really uncomfortable queasy weird feeling - almost a stomach "rumbling" when you any foods? I am now 3 months post-op- I take Pepcid 20 mg 2 times/day and am taking my vitamin supplements. I am just having this difficulty with my appetite and my immediate digestion. I hope I am making sense-- if not- feel free to tell me. ThANKS----- Kera By the way-- I am down many inches and 62# - I am by no means complaining-- just seeking advice.    — Kewpidoll (posted on May 27, 2003)

Hi, Kera, I have had the same problem and I am 4 mths. post and doc put me on nexium 20 mg 2x it has helped but I still get that nausea feling sometimes when I eat and queasy too, heck sometimes I still have to throw up but not near as much as I use too, the nexium helps, but you are not alone I am sure other people get the same way! I take nausea pills too so you might want to check into that with your doc also if you are having any kind of stomach pain when you eat, I suggest that you tell your doc cuz it could be just indigestion which gas-x or something can take care of that, but also you might need some tests done if it is causing you too much of a problem, then you can see what can help! I had to have tests done! Good Luck!

Kera- When I had my prolonged nearly constant nausea it was due to two factors: (1) the ketones which are created by ketosis are in your saliva and they can mess up your tastebuds and make your stomach uncomfortable and (2) I had a headcold that I couldn't shake and the mucus that was discharging down my throat (you know, post-nasal drip) was irritating me a lot. I initially had some stomach upset when I first started taking vitamins and stopped until everything was settled.

Hi Kera, I had my Open Jan.27, I have lost 80 pounds, and I have the same problem. Can't say it is a real pain, but just very uncomfortable. I also have BAD gas. My tummy rumbles everytime I eat anything that is not liquid. I even lay down sometimes and it feels a little better. Nothing sounds good to eat. And when I do eat it just does not taste as good as I hoped. Are you like that? I haven't asked the doctor for anything. Guess maybe I should. Hope you feel better soon. Mae
