Question:
Can anyone recommend a Gynecologist in or around Fort Worth, Texas?

I'm ashamed to say, I haven't had a pap smear in over five years and I know that I will have to have one before surgery. It's just so humiliating because of my weight. I recently read an article in a magazine that said most Gynecologist don't like examining obese women. That sure didn't help calm my fears!    — [Anonymous] (posted on October 16, 2001)

I have a ob-gyn in arlington. his name is dr. seligman and he is absolutely wonderful. all the nurses call him teddy bear. and take "extra care" of his patients, because of him. he is located in arlington on omega i dont have the phone number but just ask for the omega clinic.

My doctor is Dr. John Paul Wood in Arlington, on Matlock and I-20. He has never said a word to me about my weight (I am 430), he treats me just like any other woman in his clinic....and the best part, he is in and out in less than 5 minutes. No hem hawing around, carrying on a converstion while you are turning purple on the other end....

Dr. John Burch in Granbury, TX. Dr. Burch is wonderful I have never met a patient that didn't love him. I go to him for all my pap smears and he was my Dr. when I was pregnant (and obese) with my third child. He never mentioned a word about my weight and is so kind and wonderful. His exam rooms have lots of femine decorating touches and a theme of angels- which I find very relaxing.

I used to live in Ft.Worth and I used Vernon Krause. Look him up in the phone book and you won't be disappointed with him. He is absolutely wonderful...he's overweight himself and never mentions weight. Great man!!!!! If I hadn't moved I would still be going to him...went to him for 10 years.

I have a doctor that is really nice. Its a woman doctor, her name is Dr. Kolar and she's over at Harris Southwest in the Womens Clinic of Fort Worth. I think there are three of them in there and they are all women and extremely nice. Dr. Kolar is a little over weight and one of her nurses is also...they are extemely understanding.
