Question:
I am 10 pounds from goal and would like my incisional hernia repaired, 11 months post

Doctors at Mayo say I have to wait until I am 18 months post op to be sure I am done losing.My insurance ded. etc is paid for this year..Would you guys find a different dr to do the surgery before the end of the year..$$$ is my only reason for the rush.    — Kathy S. (posted on August 17, 2004)

I would too. At 12 months post op I had an incisional hernia and tummy tuck. I have since lost 20 pounds and my stomach still looks great and I didn't even have all of my muscles tightened because I want children in the future. Go for it.
