Question:
Seeking a WLS friendly PCP around Marietta, GA

I have been going thru this process for almost 2 years and I am so close. BC is saying that I need clearance from my PCP,which I don't have. Can anyone refer me to one?    — mikawill (posted on March 26, 2003)

I'd love to recommend my PCP...Dr. Jeffrey Tharp. His office is in Hiram, but it's only like 15 minutes from the Marietta Square on highway 120, just before you reach highway 278. His phone number is 678-945-8200. He accepts BC and Aetna. He is a real Godsend to both my husband and me. The very best doctor I've ever had. He was and still is very supportive of my WLS. He says I'm healthier than he's ever seen me and he's so very proud of what I've accomplished. He recognizes that WLS is a tool and that we have to work very hard to use it and make it work. Give him a call, I don't think you'll be disappointed. He's got several patients, including a couple of his nurses that have had WLS and there is a surgeon in Hiram that he works with who is doing RNY at Paulding Hospital and rumor has it, his schedule is such that there's not a tremendously long waiting list!
