I cannot swallow a pill.Even small ones like the size of an advil get stuck. I take chewable prenatal vitamins (RX),chewable Papaya Enzymes to aid in digestion ($2.00WalMart).I also take Biotin chewables. You can get Coral Calcium liquid at GNC.Hope this helps. LAP RNY 3/20/03 -52 lbs.

I use chewable multi vitamins but some people do use the liquid ones. For Calcuim, make sure you get calcuim citrate. The coral calcuim is better absorbed than calcuim carbonate but still not as easily absorbed as calcuim citrate for wls pts. I take calcuim citrate capsules but i forgot to get the ones with Vit. D which is needed to aid in absorption. Sometimes they get stuck. I take one before my morning coffee (which my doctor allows me to drink) in the hopes that the warm liquid will help it go on down and it usually does. Good luck

I take them all in pill form, never have crushed any. But I did split them in the very beginning. Carbonyl iron is probably the best one to start, gentle on both ends. Iron is always taken with C, alone together for at least an hour. Not with dairy, caffeine, other vites, minerals or meds. I've never been tempted to use liquid vites at all. I get free samples of coral calcium all the time--want 'em? No. I won't take them myself & I won't even give them to my "normie" staff or family members. They're just carbonate & *I* don't want to be a party to kidney stones & brittle bones.

I take all of mine in pill form. One suggestion is if you have to take B12 supplements, they should be injections or sublingual b/c a pill doesn't get absorbed by our bodies, says my PCP, surgeon and blood work. I was able to handle my pills right in the hospital. Goodluck to you :-)
