Question:
Has anyone tried the fruit protien drinks from Bariatrix?
Are they good? I've read about them, and they don't seem terribly expensive and I think I'd rather have a fruity kool-aid type drink than a shake. All this protein stuff gets overwhelming. Designer Whey has a line of protien drinks called Whey Blasts that have 40
gms of protien and something like 2-3 grams of carbs. The taste is ok and
better better after the first taste. They come in: Orange PassionFit,
Kiwi StrongBerry, Grape Shape, ABSberry Ice, TropiCurl Breeze, IntensTea.

I know what you mean. I'm schedueld for my open rny on 4/23, and it is
overwhelming trying to find supplements.I haven't tired that particular
brand, but if you go to ensure's website, they have a new product out
called enlive. it's apple or peach flavord, and depending on the website
you order from, a brick of 24 costs between 32.00 to 36.00. I went to
drugstore.com and got them individualy to try. they've got decent carbs,
about 10 g protien and 300 calories. not too bad taste wise either.

I'm with John--the whey blasts are great. They are a bit SWEET but can be
diluted!! And, with an amazing 43 grans of protein...you can't go wrong!!

There's a new line of powders out, Nectar, that are actually whey powder,
mix up with water nicely, but are not milky in presentation. Green Apple
Ecstasy; Very Cherry Berry; Caribbeann Cooler. So, you get the benefit of
whey, the price of powders in a juicy type drink. Unlike the Ensure family,
most whey drinks deliver about30g protein with under 6g sugar (the Nectars
are 0g carb), and under 200 calories when made with water.

Inga, I ditto the poster(s) below (April S. & John)~the Designer Whey
Protein Blasts are the bomb!!! I like the flavors of ALL of them, but they
will have to be diluted bcause they are VERY SWEET. Cheers!
