I'm not sure how you are with dairy, but what about cottage cheese, yogurt, string cheese? Soy nuts? Tofu? I guess every doctor is difernt, but you need to be careful of your tummy, it's still healing that's why drinking your protein is important this early in the stage. Baby steps.... best of luck to you..aims

Becky~For soft foods I did a lot of eggsalad, tuna salad, I'd take chicken breast (cooked of course) add a little mayo and a bit of onion and blend it in the blender and eat it like tuna and eggsalad, string cheese is great, so is brick cheese, vienna sausages are ok on occasion for something different and so is that potted meat. Let me know if I can be of further help. Hugs and you are doing great! Don't worry.

At this stage, refried beans are good (especially with a little melted cheese in them); also, cottage cheese, or ricotta cheese.

Eggs are a good source of protein. You can cook them in so many different ways. I did alot of chicken. I boiled the dark meat of chicken ( thighs and legs), and the meat comes out very tender, then finish fixing it anyway you like chiken. Hamburger meat, make taco meat, then add some cheese to it. Need to be creative in everything. Good luck.

Hi Becky, You can purchase the drink Isopure-zero carb 20oz and get 40 protein grams while sipping it through the day.. It comes in several flavors that taste like Koolaid and gatoraid mixed. Good Luck . . . Michele :)

Check out my website. It has lots of food tips. Personally, I don't use protein shakes or bars much. I prefer real food. As long as you are getting 75-100 grams of protein a day you're doing OK. That takes a while. http://www.WeightlossSurgery.ws Hope this helps, Diane

Tofu and beans. I could not eat meat for months so I had no choice!
