Question:
Could I get some feedback on the B-12 Nasal Spray?

Today I went to my PCP for my monthly B-12 injection and I told him how I was feeling so tired before time for the next one. I swear by the 3rd-4th week I feel so weak and can hardly function. He told me he was going to prescribe me the B-12 nasal spray which I could give myself once a week in opposite nostrils. He explained I would get a weekly balance and not the rush all at once and then bottom out. I told him it sounded good to me. Any of you out there try the nasal spray and if so how are you feeling? and what is your feedback on the spray? I went to the library and only found 2 post about the spray there. I think it is fairly new because my Pharm. had to order it. Anyhoo thanks ahead of time for any advice or knowledge on the subject. God Bless!!!!    — Cindi V. (posted on April 3, 2002)

What are your b12 levels running, right before & after your shots, like 1 week, either side?

He took my blood before I started the shots and said my b-12 was very low and I didn't ask what the number or anything was. I didn't know I should. it was ordered by my surgeon to give me a b-12 injection once per month. So he said the spray would give me a better level of b-12. So I am going to try it.

GNC sells liquid B-12. I take this and it gives me a total boost. I prefer this to the nasal spray (YUCK!) I mean, the nasal spray just runs down your throat just like the liquid. The liquid is cherry flavored and is much more pleasant.

I loved the nasal spray. I say "loved" because at $35.00/month for dh and I each it was too much. Ours was called Nascobal and it was very easy and convenient to use. Just before bedtime we did a squirt, 1 nostril, 1x/week, that was it. It's like a red gel (like the stuff you decorate a cake with) and so there is no way ours could go down your throat. I'd do it over the capsules we are supposed to take daily anytime. Our dr. won't do the shots.
