Has anyone been disapproved for WLS by doctors because of having sleep apnea?

Has anyone been disapproved for WLS by surgeons because of having sleep apnea? If so, what were the circumstances?    — Hackett (posted on March 14, 2002)

Actually, sleep apnea is a common co-morbidity for MO and is usally used to help you get the surgery, not to deny it.

Its so common, whats your pressure number? SOME surgeons only want low risk easy patients so they have great stats. If this is your problem you will need to find a NEW surgeon. MY setting was 17 I doubt yours is that bad. In general it shouldnt disqualify you@!
