Does anyone know of good support groups in the atlanta/marietta area?

Dr. Waits' office hosts a support group meeting every 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30p at Northside Hospital. They welcome patients from all surgeons, and a lot of long term post-op patients show up, and they're a great source of info!

Dr. J.K. Champion (specializing in laparascopic WLS) sponsors monthly support group meetings, in Atlanta at the Emory-Dunwoody Medical Center. This Thursday evening meeting is open to pre-op patients seeking information, and who have not yet made a final selection of surgeons. The post-op patients who attend must be Dr. Champion's patients. Dr. Dennis Smith has a group meeting the third Thursday of each month across from Kennestone Hospital at 6:30 pm and it lasts until around 8:30 p.m.

Dr.Duncan has a support meeting every second Thursday of the month at the Atlanta Wellness Center. Lots of different folks from different Docs show up..get support and alot of different types of surgery info. It starts at 6:00.
