Question:
STRANGE REQUEST for THIGH LIFT PEOPLE.......
Okay, I know this is a strange request, but I really hope someone does this for me. I had a thigh reduction with the scar all the way down to the knee and I'm just not happy with the results yet, it's been just about 8 weeks. When I look at my legs I still think they are huge. I'm only 5ft. tall so that makes them seem bigger I guess. OKAY, so here's my strange request: could someone measure the biggest part of their thigh and give me your measurment, so I can compare it to mine and maybe I'll realize that my thighs aren't as bad as I think. I use a tape measure and I don't pull it very tight for a true measurment. Okay, there's my stange request, THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO DOES THIS FOR ME!!!! — Kelly* P. (posted on April 20, 2005)

Kelly, Wish I could have seen a pic of you. Anyways, I too said that my
surgeon forgot to make me a pouch. He just made portholes in me and then
stapled me up. He laughed. Any ways, I measured my thigh and it is 30
inches. I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago.

I just measured mine and they are 27 inches. I am still waiting for my
surgery. Congrats to you and keep up the good work. You are doing fine just
give it time. None of us got this way over night.

And I thought I asked strange questions!! just kidding.
I'm 19 mo out, lost 170# no plastic surgery, the thighs
are 21 in. I've always felt I had huge thighs, so this question got my
attention. Nut

I have had skin removal on the outer thighs (LBL), but not the inner thighs
yet. My thighs measure 25" around. At 8 weeks post of you may still
have some swelling that will go down.

20 inches with no surgery, but alooooot of flab!!!

I am 1 1/2 years from 2 thighplastys. I had a total of 21" removed
from each thigh. Your legs stay swollen for a LONG time and they will look
more like stumps. I am 5'1" and my legs are 19 1/2" around. My
doctor said he would take more off my legs, but I am tired of surgeries.

I can only say my thigh lift has been a nightmare. My lower thighs are
still sagging and wrinkly, the uppers are tighter but very assymetrical one
measures 22 1/2 inches the other is 20 inches as of yesterday.My Dr. says
this is due to the swelling and it should improve. the pain has been brutal
and the incisions taking forever to heal. I have been emailing and asking
everybody I can find about their experience and even other PS. I am pretty
consistantly hearing "it is an awful surgery, the incisions in the
groin take a long time to heal and ften break open because the area is
under pressure, moist and difficult to keep clean. And very few people seem
to get the results they really wanted." I am not so sure it has been
worth the time, energy, pain and emotional turmoil I have gone thru post
op. Not to mention the money.
