Adkins Advantage has four flavors at Walmart and two at Sam's. They have 15 grams of protein, 1 carb and no sugar. I add my powder protein to get double the protein. Love the Strawberry. I take blood pressure pill, and two capsules for depression, no problem taking the all at the same time.

I drink the Adkins advantage in the AM as my first Protein - they are dellicious and go down very nicely. I hadn't thought of adding protein to them, though - great idea!

You can get your choice of flavored protein powder at any GNC. I personally really enjoy the cookies n cream powder with 8 ozs of lowfat milk, 1 teaspoon of SF swiss mocha and ice. It's like a chocolate malt. Delicious. I use 2 scoops which in total protein is 51 grams. (40 for 2 scoops powder and 11 for the milk) Don't guzzle it down, just sip slowly. great taste, and in 1 shake you get more than half of daily protein req. Also, go to www.bodybuilding.com and there you will find 70+ different flavors of protein shakes very easy to make. GL

Wow... I use Iso Pure 20 oz bottles, because it tastes like adult koolaid and has 40 grams of protein. I also use the New Whey bullets - they are fruit flavored, and come in 3 oz containers. I add them to my fruity Celestial Seasonings tea in the morning - they have 42 grams of protein. As far as powders go, Costco sells a brand called EAS that has either 23 or 27 grams of protein depending on the kind you get. I also like Syntrax Nectar Protein - they have fruity (koolaid-type) drinks like Roadside Lemonade and Fuzzy Navel that are really good... and they have a Nectar "Sweets" called Chocolate Truffle that is absolutely delicious. All of the above can be gotten at a Vitamin Shoppe store near you and all have a lot more protein than Atkins and some of the others. You can also get the really YUMMY Lean Dessert in Chocolate Coconut Candy Bar or Fresh Cinnamon Bun at Vitamin Shoppe, too. They also sell quality vitamins, but I would checkout Bariatriceating.com or BariatricAdvantage.com for vitamins specifically for WLS patients. Hope this helps!

i drink the 11 oz Myoplex Lite Carb Control and i add a scoop of whey protein (i like "six star muscle" whey protein-- from wal mart), a little bit of banana and some ice in a blender. it comes to 42 grams of protein and i drink about 6 oz before i leave for work and put the rest in a thermos to sip on during the morning. it's a great breakfast!!

I prefer Unjury unflavored. It has 20 grams of protein and I mix it with nestles flavored water. I have some trouble with some artificial sweetners and this was the best way for me to go. good luck to you and remember ...your body only absorbs 30 grams of protein at a time. (An hour) best of luck to you! hugs,Kim

One thing I've found out that if you are having a problem blending your protein drinks made from the powder is to purchase the Sundesa Blender Ball Shaker. It has a stainless steel wire ball in it,large mouth opening for putting in your ingredients, and a drink spout on it. Check around online though for best price. I've seen the 28oz size range in price from $5-$10 for the exact same item depending on the site you order it from. Makes what used to come out really lumpy protein drink to smooth as ever in just a minute or so of shaking!

I use EAS. You can purchase it at Sam's Club & Costco or on line, it's about $7 less at Sam's ( $28.00) for 72 servings, and has 24 grams of protein per serving. They both carry Chocolate & Vanilla. I add splenda to it, because it's not quite sweet enough for my taste, but it beats $20.00 for 17 servings of UNJURY!
