Question:
Are you drinking Powerd Potien shakes?

I need a tasty shake that has just about all the protein I need. I can't seem to eat any thing but chicken. And the boost drinks are not enought.    — flubbyjohnson (posted on April 15, 2007)

You should try the EAS Adavant Edge carb control drinks. They have three different flavors: vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.

I get a big tube of Whey Pritein Vanilla from Sam's Club, a very reasonable price to. The taste can be varied too by adding extracts or to the zero calorie flavored drinks. Also the very best I think so far is at www.unjury.com

Hi... I use the EAS - choc, french vanilla and strawberry. I currently use the chocolate ones and then put 2 scoops of protein (Bally) chocolate-flavored powder in it with 2 cups of ice and 1 tsp almond extract (you could also use mint flavoring) Blend in a blend. Good luck to you....

My favorite ready to drink shakes are the EAS, Extreme Smoothies (vitacost.com) Worldwide Protein, 21 grams (Trader Joe's) - For powders, the best one is Walker (vitacost.com) and the ones from vitamin world aren't bad either.

I like the Matrix shakes the best. We have a local store where I live that sells them, and they have a website. They sell single sizes so you can taste different flavors without buying a HUGE tub of one flavor! The website is www.c2linfo.com and the owners are very knowlagable and willing to answer questions. (Choose 2 Losse is the store, it rocks!) Hope this helps! Good Luck! Robin

Try Designer whey protein powder at the health food store, choc/van. I really liked Boost for short term, but then I needed to get a grip on my hunger, so I switched to Designer. I mix 2 scoops with milk, ice, strawberries. peanut butter and Ovaltine. Your body can only process about 30g of protein at a time.

Hi again Flubby, Patricia P here. I hate protein shakes, and have a horrible time drinking them, so I am with you. I found a protein powder that is supposed to be tasteless and you can add it to foods that I do eat. I have not tried it yet, but ordered it this week. It is worth a try for me:). I have listed it below. Look into it, and you might want to give it a try. http://store.bariatriceating.com/ This is the website for the protein powder. Click on "shop protein", the click on "protein powder", they have it listed as "Any Whey Tasteless Protein". It is on sale for just a while. You can try it next week though when it comes. Take care, Patricia P.

I drink a brand called " Syntrax Nectar" Fuzzy navel flavor and it tastes just like orange juice. It has 23grms of protein per scoop or mixed with 8 oz of water. I drink it every morning and it is like having a glass of orange juice. You can even just eat the powder with out water and get the same results. They also have Lemonade. I also drink the Isopure drinks every now and again. They have 40 grams of protein in 20oz bottles. There are many different flavors. Good luck.

Any of these are what I use: 1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet). 2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken. 3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended. 4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz hot water, stirred or hand blender. Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat. All of these give me appx 30g protein, less than 3g sugar, well under 200 cal.

Jeannette - where do you get the Syntax Protein? That sounds good...I am having a hard time with sugar all of a sudden. I have been craving it like a mad person...I need to stop.

SupplementWarehouse.com has all the tasty fruity protein powders there like the Fuzzy Navel Peach, etc. It is really good and is the best that I can tolerate 2 weeks out. Also if you find the same item cheaper somewhere else, Supplement Warehouse will beat that price; you just have to put the site where you found it and the price. Good Luck.

Another good tasting protein powder (in my opinion) is BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 Chocolate and I've bought that in Vitamine Shoppe or you can get it online at VitaminShoppe.com. Per scoop it has 24g of protein and I mix it with milk and it tastes really good.
