Question:
will PEIA Insurance cover gastric by pass lap or open

Hi, yes they do. They paid for my surgery and I went out of network to do it also. I went to BTC of OHIO. I just did not feel comfortable having it done here. I wanted someone who is a specialist and with BTC being specialist, I decided to put my life in their hands. I am down almost 120 lbs in less than a year. I feel a hundred percent better and I can't say enough good things about my doctor or PEIA. My hubby switched from Carelink to PEIA on July 1 and on the 20th of July I had my first consult and by the 14th of August I already had approval. Good luck and god bless.

I haven't submitted my info to PEIA yet, but a coworker of mine did about a year ago and was approved. She said she got less than $100 in medical bills after her surgery. I have already received more than this in bills (i.e. they wouldn't pay for the dietician, etc). Best of luck.

Hello, My mom has PEIA and I was approved for the surgery. I was cleared the first time. I live in WV and got approved for 80% in Ohio.
