HAS ANYONE HAD WLS IN INDIA OR MEXICO THAT WAS SELF PAY.WHAT WAS THE COST?

I had my surgery here but many have gone to Mexico to Dr Ungston. Come on
over to the Duodenal Switch Forum (at top of page under forums) and talk to
Lee Ann- she is from AL too and went to Mexico. Shes very helpful and I am
sure she'd share the info with you. Good luck to you!!!

Hi - I am having to self-pay in March. The total cost for the RNY is
$12,500 for me.

Hi, I had VSG in August 2007 with Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta. I paid
$11,000 which included airfare (from Canada) hospital services and hotel.

Hi, I had my VSG in India-Delhi, the estimated cost is USD9800, and this
includes 4 nights hospital and meds. Dr Kriplani is great, you can PM me

I had lap band w/Dr. Rumbaut in Momterey Mexico. $10,800 included evrything
except travel to & from amd meals for 1 person accompanying. Wonderful
experience, great Dr, team & hospital. He also does gastric. He has a

Brenda, you pay a lot more than you think. The cost of the flight and
expenses of the travel, plus the surgery. The biggest cost, though is in
finding a surgeon here to follow you up. If you have a band, hardly a
surgeon in this country will tough you to give you a fill. You be sure,
ifyou decide to travel outside your state to get surgery, that you find a
surgeon that will service you here. Whether band or rny. Outside of
life-threatening treatment, surgeons in the US are usually not willing to
follow up a patient that had their surgery out of the country. Be careful!
