Hi, I am a newbie, had surgery on September 8. But I can relate to you because I had nausea beginning a few weeks after surgery. I became dehydrated because everything I ate came back up and I ended up with acute renal failure. I think you should be really concerned. I am not a doctor but I would suggest that you get down as many liquids as you can and hi-tail it to your doctor. I had no idea that I was sick, but I could have died. Please talk to your doctor.

I was having the same problem and then a friend of mind pointed out that I was eating too much too fast. Also, because I was doing so well, my doctor allowed me to start pure' early. This didn't work and I had to go back to clear liquids. The nauseated feeling will pass eventually. However, if it doesn't, let your doctor know.

I had my surgery 4 months ago and I am experiencing a ton of nausea now. I am going in for an endoscopy. I have to force myself with liquids. I do get in all my protein through shakes. Good luck

Emma, Check with your provider if this keeps occurring. Try cutting back in the amount you are eating, not drinking 30 minutes before or after you eat, and eating slower. May sound simple but might work. Hope you felt better.

I would have to say you are sick because like one other post said....You could be eating too much or too fast, that will for sure make you feel nauseated. Are you throwing up after you eat. If so, you are getting food stuck in your new opening to the stomach. Try chewing your food real good and take small nickel size bites and pace yourself in between bites and see if that helps (I would assume you are refering to solids) If you can hold down liquids, you don't have a blockage, but if you are throwing up everything, try what I suggested and if you still have problems, contact your doctor right away. (I had the same trouble shooting with my doctor, so we figured I was not chewing my food good enough). Make sure you are getting in your fluids, if you are able to without throwing up. It sounds to me like you are just nauseased, not throwing up. Hope this helps.

Have your doctor check for a stricture. That is what caused me to back off of foods. It is a real easy fix.
