Sorry for your issues...did your wife have a Bariatric DR? Have you watched her drink..sip and see if she is getting enough liq in? Does she do well only in the hospital? Is there another hospital & DR to take her to? Is it a Hospital of EXCELLANCE? (which is a Bariatric site) I have had tons of trbl with the foamys...due to not being able to chew correctly.. I am 1yr out and have had 6 EGD's done..each time had to have the opening streched alittle. BUT learning to eat is very important. I wish your wife a better time as well as you. I would think there is more going on than what is thought..if you believe her PUSH on! Please let use know how yous do..will keep you both in my prayers.

Take her to a different surgeon. One that specializes in Bariatric surgery. Foamies occur when you swallow and the food is bigger than your stoma opening. Where I had my surgery they suggest that you cut your food into bites no larger than the size of a piece of corn. She should not be drinking any fluids 5 min. before eating solids, and not for 30 min. after. They food should be chewed until it resembles saliva. Her meal which should only be @ 1/4 to 1/2 cup in measurement. I am three months out and cannot consume a full 1/2 cup. If you are not happy with the way she is being cared for, find a new one or ask for a second opinion. Good Luck

Find a new Doctor and take her to a different hospital. A second opinion wont hurt anyone... I had real issues at first becuase I was not chewing well enough... another issues was sinus drainage and the sinus meds... everyone thought I was crazy until I found the correct doctor... my surgon believed that something was wrong but couldn't find anything until my new PCP found the problem. Like one of the other people said if you believe that there is something really wrong don't give up until you find someone to help her.

First of all being only had surgery a little more than a month ago I would think she shouldnt even be eating alot of solids right now. I would think if she is having alot of problems that she should be doing liquids and going very slowly....maybe some puddings and jello type foods. Try some popsicles as well. Her stomach is probably very irriated with all the vomitting. So she has to try and go light even soups would be good..I know I am no doctor but I know this would help. Then next I would certainly look for another doctor. Their is no excuse for being treated that way by a doctor. Sounds like to me he needs some kind of complaint filed against him. You just dont treat a patient that way.Good luck....and hang in there.

Listen to your gut if you know that your wife is not faking then take her to a another doctor that will listen to her and you as well. If that doesn't work go to a third doctor and so on until you get the help you need for her. Plus I must agree with one of the writers it is too soon for your wife to be eating soild food that if she eating them. If not and she having trouble keeping even anything down there is a bigger problem that must be fixed. Please Please do not lose it your wife needs you more now then she will ever have in her life. If you stop helping her who will you see how quickly the medical world will slap a label on her and this will make where no doctor will want to touch her. So good luck in your fight.
