Question:
Scars....

Anybody have any ideas to put on the bumps/scabs to reduce scaring. 1 1/2wks out from Lap RYN. Those little areas feel like worms under the skin...I hope they go away....    — Nikkijo30 (posted on September 21, 2007)

They do go away (rather become just little scars with no bumps) I just used Neosporin. It helps them to heal faster and reduces scaring. Now I am almost 6 months post op from Lap RNY and they are red and flat with my skin. Good luck, God bless and welcome to the losing side!

They will get better, I used Bacitacin Ointment because sometimes the others can cause little tiny red bumps that become red and they do get itchy. Take care and good luck!

I used vitamin E oil and my scars you can hardly see. Good Luck!! Mickey.........

I too use vitame E oil, 10,000 mgs.. I buy the capsules and prick a hole in one end and just use a bit 2-3 times a day. mine are barely noticable, after 2 months.. "the worms" went away and now its smooth.. Cynthia 7-11-07 Ryn..

Mine went away, my surgery was over 6 years ago, and I am 50:( so even for older folks like me they just disappear over time:)

Vitamin E oil seems to help them feel better, and you can also try cocoa butter lotion. I forgot the name of it, but it's the one women use for stretch marks. It comes in a big bottle with a pump.
