Question:
SIgns of Hernia Pain for those Post OP 3 years or more???

I have pulled a muschle in the area where my Hernia was repaired and there was MEsh put in over 4 years ago, but the last 4 days in a row i am experiencing pain not sure if just a pulled muscle or what ANYONE Have help that may have crossed this situation??? HI LISA.I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.I HAD A HERNIA REPAIR.LAST YR BUT IM EXPERIENCING PAIN,BURNING AROUND THAT AREA.I DONT THINK MY DR PUT A MESH IN ME THOUGH.IVE HAD TEST DONE.IVE HAD SURGERIES DONE.AND TO THIS DAY THEY HAVENT ANY IDEA AS TO WHATS CAUSING THE PAIN.UNREAL.

Hi Lisa, I had the same thing about 4 months after my hernia repair. It turned out to be a strained muscle in my abdomin. It hurt and burned VERY badly. It took about a couple of weeks to quit hurting completely. There is also scar tissue every where you have surgery. I have found that when the weather changes, sometimes it hurts for no reason, kind of like arthritis. If it persists and interferes with your daily routine, find another doctor until your satisfied with their diagnosis. Good luck, Kim.

i had a hernia repaired with mesh 26 years ago. over time i have pulled muscles in that region many times. yes you feel the pain, and even burning, usually it is no big deal, but i would absolutly check with your doctor to make sure the screen has not pulled away from the muscle wall.
