Looking at the drug information, it looks as if one of the biggest side effects is constipation as the drug slows down the GI movement, otherwise known as motility. I know one of the biggest problems with gastric patients is constipation, so you really need to disciss this with your doc before taking it. The benefits and risks have to be compared to make sure you will not have GI problems. Good luck. Shelly
