Can you eat chicken, fish, and beef? They give you a good bang for your buck. Good luck. It's hard to get in enough protein, though. I am having the same problem. I try to get in three servings of meat (2 oz servings) per day. Then, I try to drink milk and eat cheese.

Hey just had my surgery, the best thing you can do to get your protein. I had found muscle milk light, or adkins both make awesome protein shakes. Put in Blender with a little splenda and ice. And you have a milk shake. And lots of protein at one time

I had RNY 4 and 1/2 weeks ago. I use UNJURY protein powder or ISOPURE protein drinks in everything I drink. I mix a scoop of UNJURY in my 16 oz of SF hot choc or decaf each morning for 20 grams then I add ISOPURE to my 33 oz (1 lt)of water for the day (1 ISOPURE has 20 grams of protein) then I have another scoop of UNJURY at nignt in a hot beverage (16 oz) or I use UNJURY chicken base which tastes just like a bouillian cube. So, the food I eat puts me over the 60 grams but I get in plenty of protein and my fluid at the same time. I keep track of how much protein I am getting in my food so as it increases, I can cut back on the added protein. In the meantime, I never miss a day of protein or fluid. Hope this helps, good luck.

Correction: ISOPURE has 40 grams of protein in a bottle. If it is too strong, split it in half and use it over 2 days.

I'm a big fan of the gnc brand protien shakes. 12 oz of milk and 3 scoops gives you 74 grams.

meat and protein shakes (yes, the nasty whey isolate ones). even if you hate them, consume them. you can try adding some banana extract to them which tends to kill the taste of anything.

Myoplex at GNC. Get the 42 gram containers. Drink 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening.....Chocolate is the best. It is a little pricey BUT well worth it for your health.

On your computer, Google "Pam Tremble" and you will then get access to her wonderful blog that has hundreds of ideas she has shared for protein drink recipes. And it has tons of info too; if you want to, you can download it---all 159 pp. of it! Yee haw

Although it might be a little expensive for some. I work and always on the go. Smoothie king has the "Gladiator" which has 45 grams of protein. 210 calories I believe for the small and the small is enough believe me. You can pick 2 fruits for flavor. I pick Strawberry and Kiwi. Pick whatever you want. Bam! you got 45 grams of protein. I also have them add a multivitamin because I don't like swallowing my pills and voila! You can also get med and large however you still will have 45 grams of protein unless you ask for additional protein. They don't add sugar and other junk to the "Gladiator" so its pretty healthy. It is very satisfying and I don't feel hungry for awhile after having one.

The Unjury whey protein is super. I use SF Carnation Instant Breakfast and water and a scoop of Unjury at breakfast and ice in blender. It is super. I like the chocolate, but I also like the vanilla and use Torani SF flavorings. Now that I am eating food at the end of the day if I haven't gotten my protein I have one. I can tell it too if I haven't gotten my protein as I feel hungry/not satisfied. You have to order it www.unjury.com Love it. cj

Unflavored unjury was saving grace. I gagged on others because of the artificial sweeteners. But other things are peanut butter, yogurt, seafood..high protein and low cal..like scallops, fish, shrimp, etc, eggs or egg beaters, add protein powder to s/f pudding. I personally add cream cheese, unjury and milk making it about 14 grams per 4 oz serving, and only 120 calories. You have to figure it out..it depends on how much you add of each thing...I also add peanut butter to chocolate pudding with a scoop of unjury. There are many things with protein, but you have to read labels..ugg..but it becomes old hat. Best of luck to you! hugs, kim

Try Sugar free jello instant pudding - add milk and unflavored whey... it's a great treat! Lots of great flavora. Mine are pistachio, banana creme and cheesecake!
