Question:
having butt lift and arm lift on march 11th. any suggestions?

i am having a butt and arm lift on march 11 and am getting quite anxious about it. i don't know what kind of pain to expect. i know everyone's pain tolerance is different. i have read on the internet about how the tubes are such a hassle and such. i just would like any feed back of anyone who went through the same thing and if you have any suggestions. or just want to clue me in on how it was for you. thanks.    — cinlu (posted on March 1, 2010)

Hi, Cindy - Have you had any plastic surgery yet? I have had the lower body lift, but not the arms, thighs or breasts yet. I was told the lower body lift was more painful afterwards than the other, but haven't talked with anyone yet to know their experiences. As for the lower body lift, I had 4 drains and although they themselves didn't cause pain, they were cumbersome. And of course I am one of those people that produces more of the fluids than others, so I mine in longer than most. My surgeon was excellent and the incisions themselves didn't give me any problems and healed quickly. I think my main pain problem was where he tightened the abdominal muscles, and with the butt and arms don't think that is something you would need to worry about. I'd love to hear from you on how you do, and would be happy to talk with you more if you'd like. Best of luck- and congrats!

Wow! Good luck! I'm hoping for a chin/throat lift once I stabalize my weight. I'm only two months in with Lapband and one fill so I've a ways to go but I'm interested in seeing what others are doing and their success with plastic surgery.
