Question:
i need help!!! elvated liver levels

I'm 3 months post op and my 3 month check up came back with every thing ok except my liver levels are elvated and my dr. doesn't know why? no new meds, no alcohol, never did a drug in my life are already did a hepititus panel and it came back negative so i take any suggestions.    — mpreap (posted on May 27, 2009)

It could be something called fatty liver syndrome. I have had it for about 15 years. There are no symptoms and the only sign is elevated enzyme levels. The only way to be sure is to have a liver biopsy. A biopsy should be done by a liver specialist to be sure that it is evaluated correctly. It is not the easiest of procedures but your insurance should cover it. Good luck. Candac Wilkins
