Question:
Just curious on Vit D

For those of you taking 50,000 dose of Vit D-are you getting it via prescription or OTC? Also, anyone question why 50,000 1x week vs smaller daily doses through the week. Thanks ladies and gentlemen!    — maxgirl26 (posted on September 14, 2010)

I take the 50,000 dose once per week because my Vit D was so low. It is by cript from my doctor. By taking the cript it is stronger than over the counter. Hopes this helps.

I'm tkaing 5,000 IU per day...I guess that works out to 35,000 IU per week...it doesn't upset my stomach, and it's just a tiny little pill that I get a the Vitamin Shoppe. Not expensive, either.

I have low D too and my doc put me on 10,000 iu liquid Vit D from bariatric advantage. kind of pricey tho
