Question:
There are little black things in my bowel movements.

I know this is strange, When I have a bowel movement sometimes there are little black things all in it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and what it might be. I am having some discomfort in the lower right hand side and also underneath my right breast. It is like a squeezeing pain.Sorry about the strange post.    — Julie M. (posted on April 10, 2002)

Hi Julie. Please contact your doctor as soon as possible. I had some blood in my stools post-op and it was black and tar-like. It really is best for you to contact your surgeon and explain what is going on. More than likely he will ask you to come into the office. Good luck and please keep us posted!!

call your doctor. Often when you lose blood somewhere in the intestinal tract, it looks like coffee grounds.

I get that too!! Usually after I eat black olives! Bahhahaha!! ok, seriously, I have ulcers and that black stuff can be a sign of stomach or intestinal bleeding. Have it checked!
