Question:
Can we have honey in hot tea?

I love hot tea but have not had any becasue I always drank it with honey in it. Can I have honey after surgery?    — Debra M. (posted on May 31, 2000)

Hi Debra, I also love to drink hot tea. I usually have mine with equal but sometimes sugar. I haven't tried honey but I have had several "Chai"s at the bookstore and they have honey in them. . I do always count my calories because I tend to snack myself into too much food without realizing it. I am 9 months and 12 days post-op. (down 104lbs.) I seem be be able to eat anything I want just smaller amounts. I still have 39lbs to go to reach my goal. Good Luck and try your tea with honey and see how you feel. I seem to go through diffent food craving since the surgery.
