Question:
Has anyone heard of the diet program called HMR?

Years ago,I lost 100 pounds on this mostly liquid diet. Are the shakes and hot chocolate supplements of HMR diet program protein based? (They must be since I was surviving on only 520 calories a day of shakes to lose the 100 pounds!) Can HMR shakes/cocoa be used as post-op proteins?    — f M. (posted on November 25, 1999)

I have used HMR. I lost over 100bs myself on it. I compared the lable on the box to the lable of some of the other protien drinks. It does not have as much protein compared to the calories. I am holding off using it as a supplement until I find no other tastes as great as the HMR. I have a case and a half of the stuff. mary skinner [email protected]

I use HMR as protein supplement post op. Alone it has 12 g of protein, but I mix it with skim milk which adds another 10 g. It tastes great, even better than when mixed w/ water. I used it about 3 yrs ago and lost 66 lbs. I recently purchased more to supplement my diet.

Personally I love the HMR supplements. They taste great and come in different formulas with higher protein grams than the 12 mentioned here. The chicken soup is a great way to get in some protein at very little calories and is good tasting as well. I recommend the HMR800 for the best tasting and more protein choice. Only has 160 calories and 16g or protein. Vanilla or Choc, but I prefer the Choc. The bad thing is that this can only be ordered by calling them, unless you are in one of their programs with your HMO or otherwise. If anyone is interested please feel free to email me and I'll be happy to send you more info. I'm not an employee, distributor or such but really feel strongly about their products.
