Question:
Upper GI series results

I have been having weight gain and shooting pains at the top of my incision since the beginning of the year. My surgeon ordered an Upper GI series with small bowel for a possible staple line disruption and the report says that everything is fine. I do not understand this since I am still having the pain at least once a day. My surgeon put me on protonix but I am still having the pain. I scheduled another appointment with my surgeon and I will be bringing the xrays with me so he can take a look at them. Does anybody have any ideas on what is causing the shooting pains? Also does anybody know where I can find a diet plan that one would use right after surgery. I have heard that you can reshrink your pouch by starting over like it was day one. someone just posted recently about her problem that sounded similar to yours. Turned out they 'went' in and found that she had 'scar' tissue wraped around something near her pounch and that was causing the pain. maybe you should re post this on the message board and she'll respond.

Upper GI's never show anything on me. Get an endoscope.
