Question:
Has anyone in NY had GHI as secondary insurance pay the balance of their PS bill??

I have Oxford Freedom Plan as my primary insurance and have just gotten my denial overturned from the State of NY to pay for a panni and hernia repair. My PS is doing the abdominoplasty anyway since he has to do the hernia, so I am pretty happy. My question is: Since the PS is out of network, Oxford will be paying only 70% Of the bill. I am hoping that GHI will pay the balance. Has anyone ever had GHI as a secondary insurance do this?? They did with my maternity care 12 years ago, but I don't know about reconstructive surgery. The GHI phone rep sid to find out the Dr's fee, and what Oxford is paying, then to tell them and they will let me know what they will pay. I am in the process of contacting Oxford to get the info.
