Question:
Anyone go up in sizes after TT?

I had a tummy tuck 2 weeks ago. The DR took 12 pounds of skin and fat off. I was a snug size 8 before the TT. At my post op visit today the surgeon told me that I am not that swollen. How come none of my clothes fit? even the 10's are snug. Wouldn't you think that I would go down in sizes or at least stay the same? anyone else have this happen. Is it possible the surgeon is wrong? That maybe I am still swollen and that I will return to my preop size? I have gone down like 6 pounds on the scale. Please help I admit I look better naked and I can't wait for summer to wear tankini's but I am concerned about everyday clothes. As I have little legs and no butt. the 8's were a little roomy in those area's of I go up to a 10 or a 12 I will look so frumpy. I couldnt wear my pre op clothes for at least 6 weeks after my tt in fact had to buy a few pairs of biggger shorts so i would have something to wear. I didnt look that swollen but I was. You surely wont go up in size now you may stay the same although with 12 pounds removed you would think smaller. I had 11 pounds removed and went from a 14/16 to a 10. This too shall pass and you will begin shrinking. Lesley

I was swollen for about 3 weeks but after that, I went down 2 sizes.

I was swollen for about 4 weeks - especially above my navel. My pants fit better where the panni had been, but I couldn't button it around the waist! It does get better, and you will see a difference. I retained fluid up through the 3rd week.

Thanks for your replies, I feel a lot better. I also notice that I am VERY aware of my hip bones. I don't like anything touching them. I am also very numb from the belly button and below. I cant stand anything around that area. Thanks again!!!
