Question:
Pain on left side of incision - Hurts when I laugh!

I've noticed a pain and can't figure out what it is. Location is under where my drain tube was on the left of my incision. When I laugh or pick something heavy up it hurts and I feel like I have to hold that area to contain the pain. I can feel it all the time, but the pain isn't constant. I can't really feel anything going on in the area such as a lump. I'm calling doc on Monday - any ideas?    — Kim B (posted on October 11, 2003)

I am three weeks out from open RNY and I have the same pain..it is made worse if I drink too fast..I have done alot of research and it seems to be common but check with Dr.
