Question:
I am down 100 pounds, almost to goal. When to consider Plastic Surgery?

I've lost 100 pounds and am close to goal, but the lose skin is really getting to me. I know if I could get rid of my panni, I'd be down a size or two (or three?) so, at what point can I begin the quest for the panni-removal? Thanks, Jen, RNY 11/12    — Mrs. Rich (posted on July 20, 2003)

wait about 14 months then start the process. That should take you to about 1 1/2 years. At that point your weight should be stable. Good Lux

I watched the live webcast from the University of Pittsburg at the beginning of this month. It dealt with plastic surgery. The surgeon said he would not do the surgery unless weight had been stable for at least 3 months. Try not to rush it, you want to be happy with the results and know that you won't be losing any more weight. Congratulations on your weight loss.

Now what if you reach your weigth goal before a year is up and you aren't going to lose anymore?

Start looking when you get within 20 pounds of your goal weight. You can have it done then and it will look great!! It made 2 clothing size difference in my clothes.
